Felicia Roman234 days agoFollowing a car accident, my husband and I were referred to Dr. Joe and Dr. Roel for treatment for whiplash, concussion, and back pain. They took X-rays, give comprehensive exams at intervals, and re-evaluate needs as time progresses. Eddie does the therapeutic deep tissue massage- make sure to tell him if you want more pressure! They have rigorously treated my symptoms and I’m doing so well compared to when I came in. The office is so welcoming and all the staff have smiles and know your name. I will continue to use their adjustments even after this treatment is finished and would not hesitate to refer someone to get treated with these Docs!Posted on Google

Awender Chiropractic absolutely changed that with their adjustments and showing me how to properly stretch my body. I continue to go for maintenance, but I have been free of back pain for 2 months. He is also one of the best chiropractic adjusters I’ve ever been to. He is literally the only Chiropractor I trust with Upper Cervical Atlas adjustments. It took me 14 years to find someone I really trust with that after a bad experience. He has fixed me up so many times, and allowed me to have a much more normal life because of his compassion and expertise. During my intake, we talked about all kinds of holistic health stuff, not just joint and alignment pain. They are interested in the whole package working at its best. During adjustments, they are checking in to ensure there’s no pain, and making further adjustments if something is just not quite feeling right. Both have wonderful bedside manner. The staff is extremely professional, organized, and efficient, which makes every visit smooth and stress-free. The chiropractor services are truly superior, and I really appreciate that they even offer massage beforehand to help relax and loosen up before treatment. They also provide spinal decompression therapy, which is not easy to find and has been a huge benefit in my recovery. Specifically, years have passed since I received my first adjustment and I remain pain free! I was frankly, afraid of chiropractic care. I had heard all of the horror stories. But when I unexpectedly and involuntarily dropped to the floor, I knew I couldn’t keep ignoring my back. With some rest, I was able to hobble around and made an appointment with Dr Joe. I started there because my husband had known Dr Joe for several decades (it’s an Italian car thing…) Now the back story - For nearly 20 years I assumed my chronic knee pain (which had spread to include hip pain) was due to repetitive strain from long, hilly bike rides that were concurrent with the onset of pain. Imagine my surprise, relief (and awe) when I went to Dr Joe for the aforementioned back pain and left his office without the back, KNEE, AND HIP PAIN! He provided not only an amazing adjustment that relived chronic pain, but also a great overview and education of the state of my back and how to keep it healthy. He looked at my car, helped me make adjustments to the seat position to reduce strain, sends healthy tips and reminders by text, etc. And here’s a dirty little secret: when my insurance offered a provider that would be covered, I agreed. I mean, I’m pain free and just need the occasional adjustment, I now trust chiropractors, what could go wrong? Never again. Seriously painful. In varios parts of the United States. I have to move a lot due to work and is very important to me to have a great chiro and I know one when I get one. Dr Awander is excellent. I am here inCalifornia from Florida at the moment and the first thing I did was come see him and get an adjustment. Yes, yo do have to pay to be seen only for a couple of minutes but...is not the time spent that heals you, is him knowing how to manipulate your body. He is not my friend or family member and no, ..not getting paid to say this. I just think he is one of the best and whenever I am in California, this is my first stop for a very much needed relief of my neck, my ankle, my arm, back...whatever is hurting at the time. I have received excellent chiropractic care here from both doctors, but have also had wonderful experiences with the massage therapists too - I found Lamar to be very good and Toni to be excellent, totally worth waiting for as she works in the office on Thursdays and Fridays. Did you know that they also treat dogs? I have brought in my Bernese, who is an extra large breed dog (110-115lbs) and they have adjusted him. Large breed dogs often tend to have joint issues, and I appreciate having a natural treatment option. The adjustments Cooper has received here have helped him to recover from an injury in his right hind leg which has caused us trouble for months. Dr. Joe is also more than willing to pray for you, and I really appreciate the words of life he has spoken over me. I’m just very thankful for this practice! The lead practitioner, Dr. Awender, actually remembers who you are as do all of the staff members. It makes the experience feel very welcoming. Also, this place is AFFORDABLE. I am a teacher and I cannot tell you how long I was looking for a chiropractor and massage therapist that was within a price range I could actually afford to go to on a regular basis. I went to a new comer meeting that started my education on my back. they took X-rays and gave me a plan for treatment, discussed my diet more vegetables, advised the importance of supplementation Vitamin C it’s function how important it is for over all health and to stay far away from surgery. The first few adjustments the doctor was able to adjust my pelvis so I no longer have bladder problems I can laugh, sneeze with out a concern. Doesn’t it just make sense if you carried babies around that maybe your hips went out of alinement? Dr. Joe has come in on the weekend for me when I thought my neck was collapsing and I was in so much pain. He has always made the pain go away. I will never go back to a conventional doctor I can’t say enough about Dr. Joe. Above all else his prices are ridiculous. Any other Chiropractors office would charge double. My husband and I have been ttc for two years and I had heard that chiropractic could help. I contacted a couple other offices and they seemed like they just wanted to take my money because they wanted to treat myself and my husband. I went to Dr Awender and they had the $69 new patient evaluation special so I got that for myself and asked if my husband should do it too, he said no let’s check you out first. After my X-ray it turned out I have scoliosis in my lower back and the one vertebrae that was hurting was pinching the nerves that lead to my reproductive system! I immediately started treatment and I was pregnant in 1 month!! Now I am not saying this will happen to you, everyone is different, but I wanted to share my story for all the women who are struggling to get pregnant and no one ever mentions chiropractic and all the benefits of healing your back. I am still continuing my treatment and Dr Awender is the kindest man you will ever meet. He always has a positive attitude and he starts my day off in the best way. Dr Dan is also amazing, also always very positive and has a great attitude. The rest of the staff is also amazing! Everyone is so nice and welcoming and the whole vibe in that office is very uplifting. Highly recommend to anyone considering trying chiropractic for their health. Front desk ladies Gisell and Marlene are the sweetest girls. They welcomed me once I walked through the door and answered all questions I had. They made sure I knew I was going to be seen by Dr. Torres, Dr. Awender and Dr. Viedier. Dr. Torres walked me through chiropractic information and made sure I was comfortable with the treatment. I was very nervous and hesitant because I heard crazy things about chiropractor care and I just didn't know what to expect. From the get-go, I was greeted by a very friendly staff and I felt like I learned so much from my first consultation with Dr. Joe. He not only took an x-ray, but he also took time to explain to me how he could help me, how long it was going to take, etc. Before I started my treatment, I was having headaches and migraines every single day for 3 months straight and no one could figure out why. I had pain in my lower back and my feet because my hip was "out of place". I also learned that one of my legs was a whole inch shorter than the other so that affected my entire body especially after I worked out. I tried massages, anti-inflammatory medication, foam rolling, psychical therapy and nothing really worked. I have been treating with Dr. Joe for 3 months (and counting) and all of the issues I was having with my body is almost gone. It took about 2 months for my headaches to go away, but they did and I haven't had a headache or migraine since the end of March! My lower back and feet pain is 80% better and I know it will be a 100% soon with his help. If you are hesitant about getting adjusted like I was, don't be. Dr. Joe and Dr. Dan are gentle, they hear what you have to say and really understand how your body works before adjusting you. Dr. Joe and his entire team is fantastic and I'm grateful I found him.
